The middle cottage in a row of 3 situated in a peaceful location.
One of three charming stone built cottages, situated in a peaceful location in the heart of the beautiful and unspoilt North Northumbrian countryside with uninterrupted views to the east across undulating farmland towards the Kyloe Hills, just beyond which lies the Heritage coastline. They have been recently refurbished to a high standard providing well equipped, comfortable accommodation for couples, walking groups or up to three families wanting to holiday together. The cottages take their names from three of the most noted Saints of the region. The Venerable Bede was a learned Northumbrian historian and Saint Cuthbert was Bishop of Lindisfarne also known as Holy Island. Saint Aidan established the great Christian Priory of Lindisfarne on the invitation of King Oswald. The attractive village of Chatton, 3 miles, has a shop, post office and pub serving good food. There are numerous castles to explore in the area including Chillingham, renowned for being the most haunted castle in England and for its unique wild, white cattle. Nearby Holy Island is the end point of the popular St. Cuthbert's Way long distance footpath, which passes close by the cottages. The island can be reached at low tide via the causeway. Bamburgh and Holy Island are a short 15 minute drive. Many pretty villages, historic Border towns and country houses are within easy reach. Golf, fishing, walking, horse riding and mountain biking available locally.
